Charise McMullin

TEACHER

Charise married her high school sweetheart and is raising five beautiful, blonde children, ages 1-15. She moved to Searcy a year ago from Boise, Idaho, to follow her husband’s 8-year dream (mid-life crisis?) of becoming a doctor. The couple has only two years left in his medical training and are looking forward to being fully employed in this next chapter of their lives! Charise was raised in Utah and Idaho and graduated from Utah State University with a Business Management degree.

Charise has a passion for fitness and nutrition and works every day toward these ends. Similarly, she strongly believes in feeding the body with whole, healthy foods and has infused this mentality into her personal chef service. She loves a good challenge, especially when it comes to being active, and feels almost anything is possible with God and a little determination. She has been riding road bicycles since she was a young girl and has not stopped challenging herself since her dad suggested they ride bikes from Salt Lake City, Utah to Boise, Idaho (340 miles) when she was only 12! Since then her family vacations were week-long, 450 mile bike tours. She is an accomplished cyclist and began racing in 2017. She won several races, including a 203 mile, one-day road race.

Charise's life has been one of movement in nearly every form! She loves biking, running, playing soccer, skiing, snowboarding, water skiing, weightlifting, rock climbing, and now, teaching yoga. She believes the creator has endowed humans with imperfect bodies so we can learn to strengthen both body and mind and thereby, find fulfillment, health and joy. This philosophy combines perfectly with the nooma experience and the goals of the organization. Charise also hopes to pass along her passion for living and fitness to her children and everyone she teaches.
